This wine shows real varietal character. Rich and full with hints of spice and pepper with lots of ripe jammy fruit. The nose is redolent of rich cherries, while the palate is altogether more candied. Whilst exuberantly fruit-driven, fresh acidity keeps the wine in check - excellent with meaty pasta dishes.
