Chateau Musar is one of the most iconic wineries in Lebanon, founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. The winery is located in the Bekaa Valley, which is known for its favourable climate and rich, alluvial soils.
This wine is a full-bodied, complex red wine blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Carignan. Aromas of dried cherries, red and black fruits, and spice, with a palate of plum, fig, raisin, and a smoky, savoury finish. It is a wine with significant ageing potential, though it is also considered developed and mature enough to be enjoyed now.
