Chateau Musar is one of the most iconic wineries in Lebanon, founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. The winery is located in the Bekaa Valley, which is known for its favourable climate and rich, alluvial soils.
This wine blends the ancient and indigenous grape varieties Obaideh (related to Chardonnay) and Merwah (related to Sémillon), before barrel-fermenting and maturing in French oak barriques for nine months. It is then stored in bottle at the winery and released six to seven years after the harvest.
Aromas of ripe white fruit, citrus and dried fruit. On the palate, it is creamy, rich and dry with seductive nuances and a long, lingering finish.
