Former butcher Johann Schwarz, influenced by his two famous winemaker friends Alois Kracher and Manfred Krankl, became a winegrower and finally a cellar master, who now vinified his own grape material himself into truly remarkable wines.
An interesting grape called Scheurebe is blended with the more familiar Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Enticing aromas of honeydew melon along with slightly caramel-like, yet very fresh note that are reminiscent of banana and yellow pear. Great texture, hints of smoke and a lovely long finish.
