“Lo mejor de este vino non es su nombre” (The best of this wine is not its name) – these are the words that Ismael Gozalo chose to introduce us to this wine. Crafted from 100% indigenous, pre-phylloxera vines rooted in a mix of sand, clay and gravel, Sin Nombre is a powerful and expressive white wine. It ferments and ages for 9–10 months in wood before spending a further 9–10 months in steel, and is bottled without filtration or fining.
In the glass, it shows a deep golden hue and delivers a full-bodied, persistent palate marked by bright acidity, pronounced minerality and a subtle brackish edge that reflects its terroir. The gentle vanilla and rounded notes from barrel ageing are seamlessly integrated, adding complexity while maintaining balance and purity.
