Named after the company's founder, Masataka Taketsuru. A rich, spicy and sherried nose. Sweet and honeyed with vanilla notes coming through. Dry and characterful with a lovely smoky undertone. The finish is warm with a short, sharp and bitter finish. Released in 2014, this no-age statement Taketsuru is a blend of malts aged 10 years on average matured in different types of oak casks as well as a percentage of malt matured in Sherry casks to give it a rich spiced nose.
