Pierola Gran Reserva 2005

Planted on 60 year plus old vines comes this exquisite wine, 100% Tempranillo from Bodegas Fernandez de Pierola. Dark plums and subtle sweet spices are in abundance with this complex and powerful wine which has great structure and beautifully integrated oak. Meaty and exceptionally well-balanced, with notes of stewed fruit, a backdrop of toasted wood accompanied by sweet vanilla spice and very supple tannins.
