Domaine Perceval is today run by Pascal, the fourth generation of the family to work on this exceptional domain. within the French Alps and in the wine region known as Savioe the domain extends from the town of Marche, near Lake Saint André, to the territory of Chautagne, on the banks of Lake Bourget. In this breathtaking landscape, the average age of the vines is 30 years and some plots are over 80 years old.
This wine is made from 100% of the Mondeuse Grape that is a local grape to Savoie, France. This wine has a rich plum colour that is topical to Mondeuse’s character. On the nose there are notes of red and black cherry rounded off with a little cinnamon, black pepper and a hint damp forest floor. The palate is all about the fresh crispy raspberry and black cherry notes. It had good acid with very mild tannin and a medium body, the finish lingered and with some nice spice flavours hanging around.
