Sauvignon Gris is a relation of Sauvignon Blanc varietal but is thought to be slighlty older. Usually used in Bordeaux to make their Graves whites it has been replanted in the south of France to produce this gem.
For me this is one of the finds of 2013. This wine has all the wonderfully tropical notes that we have come to love from drinking Sauvignon Blanc but with slightly less of the cutting acidity.
Serve at about 10° with sushi, fish tartare or ceviche.
