Inspired to capture Tokyo’s many sensory dimensions, Glenmorangie have experimented with Mizunara oak casks for the first time in Tale of Tokyo. Having spent time in both sherry and bourbon casks, this bright limited-edition expression has been partly aged in rare Japanese oak casks, before being bottled at 46% abv.
Expect herbal aromas with hints of toffee, incense and cedar wood, before a peppery palate full of white pepper, zesty oranges, bitter cherries and chewy oak. A long and gently nutty finish brings touches of almond, mandarin and wood resin.
