Aged in concrete, barrique, and barrel, the harvest has taken place on an organically farmed vineyard on their property in Ribera de Duero. Following their style, the extraction has been very smooth and only uses native yeasts during fermentation. De Chiripa is 95% Tempranillo and 5% Albillo, both from vineyards with an ecological certificate.
This really is a lovely, full and rich wine, with very well-integrated oak, smooth tannin, and plenty of black fruit coming through on the palate to a very long finish.
