Clos Mont Blanc Unic Trepat 2013

This little known Spanish variatal has a big future ahead of it. Often found in Cava Rose blends but on its own Trepat produces fresh, medium bodied wines with wonderful acidity. After a very careful manual harvest the grapes are fermented in stanless steel tanks before being tranferres to oak barrels for aging. The resulting wine contains spiced notes of black pepper and aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary) on the nose. A very balanced palate leading to a powerful, fresh and balsamic finish.
