DuMol Estate Pinot Noir 2012

The DuMol winery was only founded in 1996 as a hobby, but since Andy Smith was recruited as winemaker in 1999 they have been producing some of the best examlpes of what the Russian River Valley has to offer. A truly superb Pinot Noir with Robert Parker scoring this vintage a tremendous 97 points. A seductive and fragrant perfume of red berries, tree bark and truffles. A remarkably layered palate; black and blue fruits merge with roasted herbs, charcoal elements and sandalwood. The wine beautifully opens in the glass and gives you something new to go back for every time. Subtle tannins and lively acidity keep it dynamic and mouthwatering, leading to a savoury finish to perfectly round off this warm and full bodied Pinot Noir.
